Sri Lanka Chooses to Bat After Winning Toss Against Bangladesh

In the third ODI clash between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Chattogram, Sri Lanka’s captain Kusal Mendis continued his winning streak in coin tosses, opting to bat after winning the toss.

Bangladesh, looking to turn the tables, made significant changes to their playing XI for the final game. Anamul Haque, Rishad Hossain, and Mustafizur Rahman were brought in, replacing Litton Das, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Taijul Islam. Tanzim’s absence was due to a hamstring injury, while Litton and Taijul were omitted from the squad.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, was forced to make a change due to fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka’s hamstring injury, sidelining him for the remainder of the Bangladesh tour and the early stages of IPL 2024. Maheesh Theekshana replaced Madushanka, adding a spin-heavy dimension to Sri Lanka’s bowling attack.

With Sri Lanka opting to bat first, both teams are geared up for an intense showdown, aiming to secure victory in this crucial encounter.
