Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, May 22, after suffering from dehydration and heatstroke. The incident occurred following his attendance at the play-off match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
SRK had arrived in Ahmedabad two days prior to support KKR, the team he co-owns. After the match, he and his team went to ITC Narmada Hotel, where they received a grand welcome. However, his condition worsened overnight, leading to his admission to the hospital around 1 pm the next day.
Doctors at KD Hospital have confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan’s condition is stable, though they have advised him to take adequate rest. The actor’s hospitalization has prompted concern among his fans and well-wishers.
Later in the day, Shah Rukh’s wife, designer Gauri Khan, along with businessman Jay Mehta and actress Juhi Chawla, visited him at the hospital. The Bollywood star’s family and close friends have been by his side during this time.
Despite the health scare, Shah Rukh Khan had celebrated KKR’s victory on Tuesday night with his children, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. The actor greeted the audience and shared the joyous moment as KKR secured its place in the IPL 2024 finals. Pictures and videos of SRK celebrating with his family circulated widely on social media, with chants of “SRK” echoing throughout the stadium. KKR’s official Instagram page shared photos of Shah Rukh Khan thanking fans, captioning them as, “Our lucky charm, our King Khan!”
