Samsung introduced the Exynos-powered Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G smartphones for the Indian market on Monday. Notably, the Galaxy A series now features the Knox Vault for the first time, offering a hardware-based security solution with protection against hardware and software attacks, isolating the main processor and memory to enhance security.
Both the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 boast a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. The displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Additionally, both smartphones come with a 5,000mAh battery and support a 25W charger, although the charger is not included in the package.
The Galaxy A55 5G runs on the Exynos 1480 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 features the Exynos 1380 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Both devices operate on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Galaxy A55 5G is equipped with a 50MP main lens, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 5MP macro camera, along with a 32MP front camera. Similarly, the Galaxy A35 5G features a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro, paired with a 13MP front lens.
As of now, Samsung has not disclosed the pricing details for the Galaxy A55 or A35 smartphones.
