Pune Porsche Crash: New Developments Unravel in Investigation

The aftermath of the recent car crash involving a Porsche in Pune continues to unfold with startling revelations emerging every day. In the latest update, Vishal Agarwal and his son, previously believed to be driving the car during the accident, have come forward with a different narrative. They claim that their family driver was behind the wheel at the time of the incident, a statement supported by the minor’s friends who were present in the car.

The tragic collision occurred in the early hours of Sunday when the 17-year-old son of Vishal Agarwal, a prominent real estate developer, crashed his Porsche Taycan sports car into a bike, resulting in the fatalities of the rider and pillion. Initially granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board, the minor had his bail revoked by the Pune court in response to public outcry, returning him to a juvenile center.

However, skepticism surrounds the new claim, as investigating officers are yet to fully corroborate it. The family driver initially supported this assertion but later retracted his statement, claiming he was indeed driving the car. Meanwhile, the recovery of Vishal Agarwal’s missing mobile phone has sparked further interest, as authorities delve into its potential to provide crucial details about the accident.

The Pune Crime Branch, leading the investigation, has extended its inquiries to Surendra Agarwal, the minor’s grandfather, seeking insights into his conversations on the day of the accident. Additionally, the mother of the accused has stepped forward, urging police protection for her son amidst the circulation of a purported video allegedly featuring him boasting about evading consequences. She refutes the video’s authenticity, asserting her son’s current detention status.

The tragic incident, captured in a CCTV video circulating online, depicts the Porsche speeding recklessly through narrow roads, highlighting the absence of a registration number plate. Investigations reveal that the vehicle was driven at an alarming speed of 200 km/h, claiming the lives of Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, both IT professionals. Reports suggest the minor was celebrating his 12th-grade results at local establishments prior to the accident.

Authorities have taken decisive action, arresting not only the minor but also his father and the proprietors of the bar that served alcohol to underage individuals, violating Maharashtra’s legal drinking age of 25. The collective efforts aim to bring justice to the victims and prevent such tragedies from recurring in the future.
