PM Modi Concludes Meditation Break as Polling Continues in Lok Sabha Elections

Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his two-day meditation retreat at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari today, coinciding with the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in eight states and union territories. PM Modi began his day by performing the ‘Surya Arghya’ at sunrise, a ritual involving salutations to the sun, at the historic site where Swami Vivekananda once meditated.

Meanwhile, in West Bengal, tensions escalated during the final phase of the elections. Reports emerged of a mob throwing EVM and VVPAT machines into a pond at booth numbers 40 and 41 in Kultai, South 24 Parganas. The mob’s agitation reportedly stemmed from threats by Trinamool Congress (TMC) supporters. Election officials are working to resolve the issue and ensure the continuation of polling.
