Despite a marginal decline of 0.1 percent compared to the previous year’s sales for the same month, the Brezza witnessed a 3 percent increase in sales on a month-on-month basis, selling 15,765 units in February. Over the last six months, it has maintained an average monthly sales figure of 14,726 units.
In contrast, Tata Motors sold 14,395 units of the Tata Nexon in February, experiencing a month-on-month decline of 16.2 percent following exceptional sales of 17,182 units in January. Hyundai Venue recorded 8,933 units sold, while its cousin, the Kia Sonet, achieved 9,102 units. The Mahindra XUV300 secured 4,218 buyers in February.
The consistent popularity of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza can be attributed to several factors, including its value-for-money pricing ranging from Rs 8.29 lakh to Rs 14.14 lakh. Despite offering only petrol and CNG drivetrain options, the Brezza has gained widespread acceptance due to its value proposition and features.
The Brezza stands out with its claimed best-in-class mileage of 18.76 kmpl for petrol and 25.51 km/kg for CNG, along with being the only sub-4m SUV offering an automatic transmission with a CNG powerplant. Its muscular road presence, characterized by a boxy design, prominent wheel arches, and sleek headlamps, further enhances its appeal.
Equipped with a plethora of features, including a 9-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, LED projector headlamps, push-button start/stop, and cruise control, the Brezza offers convenience and assistance to its occupants, further solidifying its position in the market.
