When discussing the most luxurious cars in India, the Mercedes Maybach stands out. This brand is favored by numerous Bollywood celebrities, and the latest to join this elite group is renowned director and producer Rakesh Roshan. He recently took delivery of a stunning white Mercedes Maybach S580 sedan.
A picture of Hrithik Roshan’s father receiving his new Maybach was shared on Instagram by Autohangar, captioned, “We are thrilled to share the joyous moment of delivering the exquisite Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class to the legendary Rakesh Roshan.” In the photo, Rakesh Roshan is seen with a gift hamper from the dealership, standing proudly beside his new Designo Diamond White Bright Maybach S580, along with the dealership’s sales representative.
The Maybach S-Class is Mercedes’ flagship sedan in India, available in two variants: the S580 and the pricier S680. The S580, chosen by Rakesh Roshan, is priced at Rs 2.71 crore, while the S680 costs Rs 3.43 crore. Both models boast a plethora of luxury features, including high-quality leather, wood, and metal finishes. The executive rear seats, resembling first-class airline seating, can recline between 19 and 44 degrees and feature a retractable leg rest, multi-contour seat massager, heated armrests, seat ventilation, and calf massagers.
Additional luxury features include wooden trims, a full-length center console, deployable trays, a champagne cooler, and custom solid metal flutes. The primary difference between the S580 and S680 lies in their engines. The S580 features a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine with EQ Boost, generating 496 bhp and 700 Nm of torque, paired with a four-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission. Conversely, the S680 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine, delivering 604 bhp and 900 Nm of torque, with the same transmission and four-wheel-drive setup.
Rakesh Roshan’s new acquisition replaces his previous generation S600 variant, which was also white and equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 523 bhp and 830 Nm of torque. His new Maybach S580 represents a significant upgrade in luxury and performance, cementing his place among Bollywood’s elite car owners.
