Lollapalooza India Returns with Star-Studded Lineup: Sting, Jonas Brothers, Halsey, and More

Lollapalooza, one of the world’s biggest music festivals, is set to return to Mumbai on January 27 and 28 for its second edition. The lineup includes global artists such as Sting, Jonas Brothers, Halsey, Lauv, OneRepublic, Eric Nam, and The Rose, among others. The festival will feature nearly 40 artists across four stages, offering a diverse range of music genres.

The festival’s curation involves careful consideration of new sounds, artist popularity, and diversity to cater to the Indian audience. The gates are expected to open at 1 pm, with concerts starting from 2 pm across the Budweiser stage, Walkers & Co stage, Nexa Stage, and Perry’s stage.

Headlining the festival on Day 1 is the Jonas Brothers, making their first-ever performance in India, while Sting will take the stage on Day 2. Additional international acts include Lauv, Halsey, One Republic, Eric Nam, and The Rose, bringing excitement to fans of South Korean music.

Indian acts featured in the lineup include When Chai Met Toast, The Raghu Dixit Project, Jatayu, Skrat, Kamakshi Khanna, JBABE, Anoushka Shankar, and Fatoumata Diawara representing world music.

The festival aims to provide an immersive experience beyond music, featuring art installations, the Lolla Ferris wheel, and the Lolla Food Park with over 50 food and beverage outlets offering local and international cuisines.

In terms of accessibility and inclusivity, the festival includes sign language interpreters for the hearing-impaired at the main stage and personalized services for visually and hearing-impaired attendees through BookASmile, BookMyShow’s charity initiative. The #LollaForChange initiative focuses on creating a safe space for individuals across the LGBTQIA+ community.

Last year’s inaugural edition at Mahalaxmi Racecourse drew nearly 60,000 attendees, featuring headliners Imagine Dragons and The Strokes. This year’s festival promises another exciting experience for music enthusiasts in India.
