Summary of Third Phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The Election Commission announced that 1,351 candidates will contest in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 7, 2024. A total of 2,963 nominations were filed across 95 parliamentary constituencies (PCs) in 12 States/Union Territories (UTs), with the last date for filing nominations being April 19. After scrutiny, 1,563 nominations were deemed valid, leading to a final number of 1,351 candidates contesting after the withdrawal deadline on Monday. Here is the breakdown of candidates by state:
