Navi Mumbai Police Foil Attack Plot on Salman Khan, Arrest Four Members of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

The Navi Mumbai Police arrested four members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang on Saturday for allegedly plotting an attack on Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s car in Panvel, according to ANI reports. An FIR has been filed against 17 individuals linked to the case, including notorious figures Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, and Goldy Brar.

The four apprehended suspects have been identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan. The police revealed that the accused had conducted surveillance on Salman Khan’s house and farmhouse to prepare for the attack.

Ajay Kashyap reportedly contacted a person named Dogar in Pakistan via video call to arrange for weapons, including AK-47s, from the neighboring country. Information gathered by the police indicated that around 60 to 70 boys associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra gangs were monitoring Salman Khan. These operatives came from various locations, including Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Gujarat.

The Navi Mumbai Police stated that the plan involved using minors to execute the attack on Salman Khan and then fleeing the country. The accused intended to escape India by boat to Sri Lanka from Tamil Nadu’s Kanniyakumari.

Additional arrests have been made in connection to the case. Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were arrested in Gujarat due to their suspected ties with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Another suspect, Anuj Thapan, was arrested in April but died on May 1 inside the lock-up of the Mumbai police’s crime branch.

The police’s swift action has thwarted a potentially deadly plot against one of Bollywood’s most prominent actors, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by organized crime networks and the importance of vigilant law enforcement efforts.
