Three Indian Navy ships—INS Delhi, INS Shakti, and INS Kiltan—arrived in the Philippines on Sunday to strengthen maritime cooperation, an official said on Monday. This visit is part of the Eastern Fleet’s operational deployment to the South China Sea.
The ships received a warm welcome from the Philippines Navy in Manila. The visit aims to enhance longstanding friendship and maritime cooperation between the two countries, the official added.
During their stay, personnel from both navies will engage in a wide range of professional interactions, including expert exchanges, sports events, cross-deck visits, cultural tours, and community outreach programs.
Additionally, the ships will participate in a Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) with the Philippines Navy, fostering deeper naval collaboration and operational synergy.
