Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Cabinet Resign Amid Alliance Speculations

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, along with his entire Cabinet, submitted their resignations to Governor Bandaru Dattatreyar on March 12, adding fuel to speculations of a breakdown in the BJP-JJP alliance. The move comes amid reported differences over seat sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Earlier in the day, Khattar and his Cabinet members met with Governor Dattatreyar at the Governor House in Chandigarh. The BJP-JJP alliance has been under scrutiny, and the resignation of the Chief Minister and his Cabinet has further intensified political uncertainties in Haryana.

The BJP has also called a meeting of its MLAs in response to the evolving political situation. While there are indications of a potential rift in the alliance, Independent MLA Nayan Pal Rawat asserted that some Independent MLAs supporting the Khattar-led government would ensure its survival, even if the alliance with JJP faces challenges.

The resignation move has added complexity to the political landscape in Haryana, and further developments are anticipated as the situation unfolds.
