Bigg Boss OTT Winner Elvish Yadav Arrested in Snake Venom-Rave Party Case

In a dramatic turn of events, Elvish Yadav, winner of Bigg Boss OTT, has been arrested and remanded to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the snake venom-rave party case. The 26-year-old YouTuber faces charges under the Wildlife Act for allegedly arranging snake venom at rave parties held in Noida. Initially denying any involvement, Yadav has now confessed to arranging snake venom at these parties, according to police sources.

The case revolves around the purported use of snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties in Noida last year. Yadav stands accused of facilitating the procurement of snake venom for these gatherings and incorporating live snakes into his video shoots. The police crackdown on a snake smuggling racket in November last year uncovered the alleged involvement of Yadav and others in the illicit trade.

During the raid on a banquet hall in Noida Sector 51, five individuals, including four snake charmers, were apprehended for supplying snake venom. The discovery of cobras and other venomous snakes further implicated Yadav and his associates in the illegal activity. Forensic analysis confirmed the presence of venom from cobra and krait species in the seized samples, bolstering the case against the accused.

Yadav’s involvement in the case came to light after a trap was set by an NGO, People For Animals (PFA), whose member lodged a complaint with the police. The arrested individuals confessed to supplying snake venom at rave parties allegedly organized by Yadav. Furthermore, Yadav attributed the presence of snakes in his video shoots to Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, shifting the focus of the investigation onto other potential accomplices.

The developments in the case underscore the challenges posed by illicit drug use and wildlife trafficking at rave parties, highlighting the need for stringent enforcement measures and greater vigilance to curb such illegal activities.
