The Delhi High Court bid farewell to two esteemed judges, Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice V Kameswar Rao, as they embark on new chapters in their judicial careers, transferring to high courts in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, respectively.

The recent notification from the central government formalized the transfer of these esteemed judges, following the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium on March 15. While their departure leaves a void at the Delhi High Court, it enriches the legal fabric of Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
With the departure of Justices Sachdeva and Rao, the Delhi High Court’s judicial strength now stands at 40 judges, underscoring the need for timely appointments to maintain operational efficiency.
