The Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Karnataka, Battu Satyanarayana, has announced the initiation of the application process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for various postgraduate courses for the academic session 2024-25. The CUET will be conducted in the Computer Based Test mode.
Candidates can submit their application forms online until January 24, 2024, with the process starting on December 26, 2023. Starting March 7, admit cards for the entrance test can be downloaded from the National Testing Agency (NTA) website. The examinations are scheduled to take place from March 11 to March 28.
Applicants can apply on the official CUET website (https://pgcuet.samarth.ac.in/), and details are available on the Central University of Karnataka website (www.cuk.ac.in). The last date for paying the exam fee is January 25, 2024, and candidates have the option to make corrections to their applications on the website from January 27 to January 29.
Professor Satyanarayana mentioned that the NTA will conduct the postgraduate entrance test for Central Universities and other participating universities across the country. The university offers more than 600 seats for 29 postgraduate programs and one B.Ed program.
The maximum intake capacity for most programs is 40, with exceptions for specific courses like Master of Technology in Power and Energy Engineering and RF and Microwave Engineering, which have 18 seats each. New courses introduced last academic year, including Master of Performing Arts in Music (Hindustan Vocal) and MPA Instrumental (Tabla), offer 15 seats each. Additionally, the university plans to introduce a Master of Visual Arts (Painting) in the upcoming academic year.
