Congress Alleges Rising Inflation, Economic Recession, and Unemployment; Accuses Modi Government of Diverting Attention

The Congress party, through General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, claimed that every second person in India is worried about increasing inflation, economic recession, unemployment, and conflicts. Sharing a media report on rising vegetable prices, Ramesh stated that in the last year, the price of vegetables has increased by 15 to 60%. He accused the Narendra Modi government of diverting the country’s attention while people are facing concerns related to the economy.

Ramesh, in his post in Hindi, mentioned that one in three Indians is worried about losing their job this year, and 57% are concerned about inflation. He criticized the government, stating that every second person in India is suffering due to an era of injustice, referring to issues such as inflation, economic recession, unemployment, and conflicts. He accused the Modi government of diverting attention from these problems.

The Congress party has been consistently attacking the government’s economic policies and expressing concerns about rising unemployment and inflation. The Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, led by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, is set to resume with a padyatra in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, on January 28. The yatra aims to address issues related to the economy and social justice.
