Former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa Booked Under POCSO Act for Alleged Sexual Assault

In a shocking development, authorities have booked senior BJP leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO). The complaint, filed by the mother of a 17-year-old girl, alleges sexual assault by Yediyurappa during a meeting regarding official matters on February 2. The case was registered at Sadashivanagar police station in Bengaluru during the early hours of Friday.The complaint led to the registration of a case against Yediyurappa under section 8 of POCSO (sexual assault) and section 354 A (sexual harassment). Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed the development, stating that a complaint was lodged against Yediyurappa, and the police have registered the case.
