BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the welfare of Muslims, despite fielding only a few candidates from the community for the upcoming general election. Hussain emphasized that the Narendra Modi-led government operates under the principle of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” (Development for All), ensuring no discrimination based on religion.
Speaking at a function and addressing reporters, Hussain underscored the importance of leadership based on sincerity and equality rather than religion or caste. He emphasized Prime Minister Modi’s dedication to serving all communities without discrimination, asserting that the lack of Muslim contenders in the north does not reflect a lack of care for the community.
Hussain highlighted the BJP’s nomination of M Abdul Salam, a Muslim candidate, from Malappuram in the south, as evidence of the party’s inclusive approach. He dismissed allegations of dictatorship against Modi, asserting that such accusations are unfounded and stem from political rivalries.
Expressing confidence in BJP’s electoral prospects, Hussain predicted victories for the party’s candidates in both Lok Sabha seats in Jammu. He attributed the growing support for BJP to its track record of development and leadership under Modi.
Addressing the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Hussain noted positive changes leading to increased tourism and development. He criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, accusing them of resorting to political rhetoric rather than focusing on substantive issues.
