Apple Announces Dates for WWDC 2024, Teases AI Strategy and Consumer Features

Apple has unveiled the dates for its annual developers conference, WWDC, set to take place from June 10 to June 14. While the event will primarily be livestreamed on Apple’s website, the company has extended invitations to select software makers to join them in person on the first day for a special celebration.

Anticipation is high for this year’s WWDC, as Apple is expected to unveil its long-awaited artificial intelligence (AI) strategy and introduce new consumer features. CEO Tim Cook previously hinted at significant investments in AI, teasing an AI-related announcement slated for later in the year, which many speculate will be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

Traditionally, WWDC serves as the platform for Apple to unveil the latest versions of its software for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, showcased during a keynote video on the first day led by Tim Cook and other Apple executives. This event is also streamed on YouTube for a global audience. Additionally, past conferences have seen announcements of new professional-oriented hardware, including Mac laptops.

In addition to software updates, Apple plans to reveal the first major software update for the Vision Pro, its recently launched virtual reality headset, at this year’s conference. With WWDC 2024 shaping up to be an eventful gathering, tech enthusiasts and developers alike eagerly await the unveiling of Apple’s latest innovations and advancements in AI technology.
