The pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, have kicked off with a traditional “anna seva” in Jogwad village near Reliance Township in Jamnagar. Anant Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, Radhika Merchant, and other family members participated in serving traditional Gujarati food to approximately 51,000 local residents. This ‘anna seva’ serves as a gesture of seeking blessings from the community for the upcoming pre-wedding celebrations.
The Ambani family has a history of sharing food on significant family occasions, and this tradition continues with Anant Ambani starting his wedding celebrations with this community service. The event also featured traditional folk music, with renowned Gujarati singer Kirtidan Gadhvi entertaining the attendees.
Known for their philanthropy, the Ambani family has a tradition of engaging in community service, exemplified during the COVID-19 pandemic when Reliance Foundation, led by Nita Ambani, conducted a large-scale food distribution program.
