Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing an election rally in Dumka on May 28, accused the JMM-led ruling alliance in Jharkhand of “patronizing” infiltrators who are allegedly causing a decline in the tribal population of the Santhal Parganas region. He asserted that these infiltrators were grabbing land and posing a significant risk to the safety of women.
“A big crisis looms over Jharkhand and that is infiltration. The Santhal Parganas is facing the challenge of infiltration. In many areas, the population of tribals is declining fast and the number of infiltrators is on the rise,” Modi stated. He emphasized the urgency of the issue, claiming that tribal lands were being seized and tribal women were being targeted, putting their security and lives at risk.
Modi further accused the JMM and Congress of indulging in “rampant loot” and pledged that the government’s crackdown on corruption would intensify after June 4. “Action against corruption will be intensified in the country,” he vowed, highlighting his administration’s commitment to tackling graft and ensuring accountability.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a crucial time as the political climate in Jharkhand heats up. His strong stance against infiltration and corruption aims to rally support by addressing the pressing concerns of the tribal community and promising stringent measures to safeguard their rights and well-being.
