A tragic incident occurred at Patna Law College on May 27, 2024, when Harsh Raj, a final-year student, was brutally lynched by a mob of over 10 unidentified individuals. The attackers, armed with hockey sticks, iron rods, bricks, and sticks, inflicted severe head injuries on Harsh. Despite being rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), he was declared dead upon arrival.

Harsh, who was pursuing a Functional English Vocational Course at B N College, was attacked near the Law College auditorium after his exam. Witnesses, including his friend Bahu Kumar, reported that the assailants had their faces covered to conceal their identities. The motive behind this heinous mob attack remains unclear, and the Sultanganj police are currently investigating the incident.

Harsh was a resident of Vaishali district and lived in a rented house in the Boring Canal Road locality. This violent crime has raised serious concerns about campus security and the escalating crime rate in Bihar. The college community and Harsh’s grieving family are demanding justice and swift action against the perpetrators of this brutal lynching.
