Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi’s family faced a tragic loss as his brother-in-law, Rakesh Tiwari, passed away in a road accident in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad. The incident occurred while the couple was traveling from Bihar’s Gopalganj district to West Bengal. Tiwari, who was driving the car, lost control, resulting in a collision with a road divider.
Following the accident, Tiwari and his wife Sabita Tiwari were immediately rushed to the Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) in Dhanbad. Unfortunately, Rakesh Tiwari was declared “brought dead,” while Sabita Tiwari sustained severe injuries, including a leg fracture. However, she is currently reported to be out of danger.
Dr. Dinesh Kumar Gindauria, the Emergency HOD at SNMMCH, confirmed the tragic news and provided updates on Sabita Tiwari’s condition. Meanwhile, police authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Rakesh Tiwari, employed with the Indian Railways and stationed at Chittaranjan, leaves behind a bereaved family and colleagues.
This unfortunate incident adds to the recent string of losses suffered by Pankaj Tripathi’s family. In August last year, the acclaimed actor mourned the passing of his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, who lived a fulfilling life of 99 years. Tripathi’s family expressed their grief and announced that the last rites would be performed in their village in Gopalganj.
