Prince Harry’s Anguish Over Frogmore Eviction: Expert Reveals ‘Cruel Rejection’ by King Charles

Prince Harry’s emotions are reportedly in turmoil following what an expert described as a “cruel rejection” by his father, King Charles, along with a “vindictive” move by the UK royals to ask him and his wife, Meghan Markle, to vacate Frogmore Cottage. The incident has caused Harry to feel deeply hurt and furious as it occurred amid his decision to remain in the United States after stepping down from his duties as a working royal.

Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, was reclaimed by the UK royal family after the couple relocated to California. This move came after they spent £2.4 million renovating the cottage, a home that held sentimental value to them. According to newly revealed documents by the Daily Mail, Harry’s decision to announce his residency in the US was aligned with the day he and Meghan were instructed to vacate Frogmore Cottage.

Royal experts suggest that Harry intentionally chose the date for his US residency announcement to coincide with the day the couple “officially stepped down as working royals.” The Sussexes’ US residency was officially backdated to June 29, 2023, coinciding with the date the couple was informed they would no longer have access to Frogmore Cottage. A source told The Standard Time, “The Sussexes are no longer leasing Frogmore Cottage. That privilege has been removed.” The same source noted that the couple would need to purchase a residence privately if they wished to maintain a home in the UK.

Royal author Tom Quinn shed light on the emotional turmoil experienced by Prince Harry. In an interview with the Mirror, Quinn mentioned, “Harry was absolutely furious and in tears about being evicted from Frogmore – he felt his father had no right to do it and that it was purely vindictive.” He explained that Harry felt the eviction was a significant insult, describing it as the “final blow” in a series of events that followed his and Meghan’s departure from the UK.

Quinn also noted that Prince Harry may not have fully understood that choosing to cease his role as a working royal would result in the loss of his royal residence. The eviction from Frogmore Cottage has added to the ongoing strain between Prince Harry and the royal family, intensifying his sense of hurt and rejection.
