BJP’s Piyush Goyal Criticizes INDIA Bloc for Corruption, Claims Many Members Are Out on Bail

Union Minister and BJP candidate from the Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat, Piyush Goyal, launched a scathing attack on the opposition INDIA bloc, alleging that they are riddled with corruption and that over half of their members are currently out on bail.

During a recent speech, Goyal criticized the opposition for spreading falsehoods and dividing the country. He stated, “The Opposition is so disappointed that they have started talking about dividing the country and saving the corrupt. They are creating controversies and spreading falsehood among the people, damaging their credibility. More than half of the INDIA Alliance is out on bail.”

Goyal emphasized that anyone who engages in corrupt practices will face legal consequences. He said, “The grip of the law is so strong that anyone who does anything wrong will be caught. They should have thought about this when they were doing corruption. They have to answer to the law and the people of the country.”

In Maharashtra, the INDIA bloc comprises the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, which includes the Shiv Sena (UBT), the Congress Party, and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). As per their seat-sharing agreement, the Shiv Sena (UBT) is contesting 21 seats, Congress 17, and NCP 10.

Meanwhile, voting for five Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra took place on Saturday as part of the first phase of the polls. The remaining seats will be contested in subsequent phases, with the results set to be announced on June 4. Despite the political rivalry, the elections are expected to be a significant test for all parties involved in Maharashtra and beyond.
