Ram Navami Celebrations: Ram Lalla to Don Yellow Attire, Offered 56 Bhog at Ram Janmabhoomi Temple

On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Ram Lalla will be adorned in yellow attire and offered 56 bhog at the newly built Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest, announced that the temple will remain open for 19 hours, starting from Mangala Aarti at 3:30 am, with special rituals and offerings planned throughout the day.

In anticipation of the large influx of devotees, the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has issued advisories, including the cancellation of special pass bookings for VIP darshan and aarti from April 16 to April 18. All devotees are requested to follow the designated path for darshan to ensure smooth operations.

Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati will live telecast the Ram Navami celebrations at Ram Mandir on Doordarshan, and the festivities will be broadcasted on large LED screens across Ayodhya. Additionally, a unique scientific system has been introduced to adorn Ram Lalla with a ‘Surya Tilak’ on his forehead, symbolizing reverence and celebration.

In light of the expected crowds, the Uttar Pradesh government has tightened security in and around Ayodhya, ensuring a safe and peaceful celebration. This year’s Ram Navami holds special significance as it marks the first celebration since the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in January, underscoring the spiritual and cultural significance of the occasion.
