Traveling with your dog on a regular airline can be a daunting and stressful experience for pet parents. From the complex planning to adhering to safety guidelines, it’s no wonder many pet owners shy away from bringing their furry friends along on trips. But with BARK Air, the process is streamlined and stress-free, allowing you to focus on enjoying your journey with your beloved pet by your side.
Matt Meeker, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at BARK, expressed excitement about the launch of BARK Air, stating, “We are thrilled to apply the insights we’ve gained over the years to create an experience that prioritizes the well-being and comfort of dogs, from the ground to the skies.”
But luxury for your furry friend comes at a price. A one-way ticket for one dog and one person will set you back approximately $6,000, ensuring that your pet travels in style and comfort.
The inaugural flight of BARK Air, featuring several lucky dogs and their owners, is scheduled to take off on May 23rd. Initially, the service will offer two routes departing from New York’s Westchester County Airport. Travelers can expect to pay $8,000 for a one-way ticket to Stansted Airport in London or $6,000 for a one-way ticket to Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles. Ticket sales commence on April 11th.
With BARK Air, your furry friend can enjoy a VIP experience from start to finish. Passengers will breeze through TSA checkpoints and security lines, enjoy a hassle-free check-in process, and even have the chance to mingle with other canine companions onboard. And for the humans, the airline’s staff chefs will prepare delectable in-flight meals onsite, ensuring a delightful journey for all.
