RLD Chief Jayant Chaudhary Criticizes Former Ally SP, Praises Modi Government’s Inclusive Mindset

Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary launched a scathing attack on his former ally, the Samajwadi Party (SP), accusing it of opportunism and strategic betrayal. Chaudhary remarked, “In political and social life, strategy is a must and that’s the work of a politician. Our alliance partner wanted to prove they were weak and then defeat us. They used to give up the queen and take away the king,” suggesting a tactical approach adopted by the SP.

Chaudhary emphasized the need for leaders to make tough decisions for the welfare of the people, asserting that true leadership requires prioritizing the interests of the populace over personal grievances. Despite the political differences, he indicated that the RLD harbored no resentment towards the SP.

Speaking favorably of the Narendra Modi government, Chaudhary highlighted its inclusive approach, noting that no task was deemed insignificant in the eyes of the central government. He underscored the importance of fostering a similar mindset within society to empower individuals irrespective of their background.

The RLD’s history of alliances was briefly outlined, highlighting its collaboration with the BJP in past elections, as well as its subsequent shift to the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA). Despite fluctuations in electoral fortunes, Chaudhary affirmed the RLD’s commitment to serving the people of Uttar Pradesh.

Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, scheduled to commence on April 19 in seven phases, Uttar Pradesh remains a crucial battleground. With 80 seats at stake, the state’s electoral outcome is anticipated to have significant ramifications. The RLD, under Jayant Chaudhary’s leadership, is gearing up for the electoral contest, aiming to secure representation for its constituents.
