Opposition INDIA Bloc Announces ‘Maha Rally’ in Delhi Amid Kejriwal’s Arrest

The Opposition INDIA bloc, led by AAP leader Gopal Rai, revealed plans for a “maha rally” at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on March 31, aimed at safeguarding the country’s interests and democracy.

This announcement follows the recent arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with a money-laundering case related to an excise policy.

Kejriwal, the AAP national convenor, was taken into custody till March 28 by a court on the same day of his arrest, sparking outrage and calls for action from opposition parties.

During a press conference, the AAP and Congress, allies within the INDIA bloc, jointly declared the upcoming rally as a demonstration of solidarity against what they perceive as threats to the nation’s democratic values.
