Tata Motors is on the brink of introducing its latest electric marvel, the Curvv EV, as it undergoes rigorous testing, with recent sightings in Coimbatore, India. Set to debut in the Indian market during the fiscal year 2024–25, between July and September, the Curvv EV marks a significant leap for Tata Motors, introducing a new body style in the affordable car segment with its coupe SUV form factor.
With an anticipated range of up to 500 km, the Curvv EV promises to redefine daily commuting and longer journeys, offering multiple variants to cater to diverse preferences. Its bold and innovative design sets it apart, boasting premium features such as full-width LED DRLs, LED headlights, and sleek 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Inside, the Curvv EV exudes luxury and sophistication, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed Tata Nexon. From a sunroof to wireless charging and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, the Curvv EV leaves no stone unturned in delivering a seamless driving experience. Rumors suggest it may even come equipped with ADAS for enhanced safety.
Positioned above the Nexon EV, the Curvv EV will be sold exclusively through Tata Motors’ new EV-only dealerships. It combines the familiar front design of the Nexon facelift with striking changes in its coupe-like profile, highlighted by distinctive LED tail lamps.
In terms of powertrain options, Tata Motors offers both internal combustion engines and electric powertrains, with the Curvv EV initially launching in an all-electric version. Two battery pack options will be available, offering ranges of approximately 350 km and 500 km on a single charge, catering to varying needs and preferences.
While the price remains undisclosed, reports hint at a range between 15 to 20 lakhs, positioning the Curvv EV competitively in the market. With its innovative design, versatile powertrain options, and commitment to sustainability, the Curvv EV aims to make a significant impact in the burgeoning electric vehicle space, marking the dawn of a new era for Tata Motors.
