Škoda has introduced the concept version of its upcoming entry-level electric SUV, named the Skoda Epiq. Scheduled for a global launch in 2025, this electric SUV is the second among the six electric cars planned by Škoda Auto.

Positioned as a sub-compact EV SUV, the Škoda Epiq features a sleek “Modern Solid” design language, measuring approximately 4.1 meters in length. It offers seating for five passengers and a generous luggage capacity of up to 490 liters.

Škoda Auto has emphasized the affordability of the Epiq, stating that it will start at around 25,000 euros or approximately Rs 22.5 lakh. While specific details about its powertrain are yet to be unveiled, reports suggest a range of around 400 km on a single charge. Further information about battery packs, electric motors, and other mechanical aspects will be disclosed in the future.

Production of the Škoda Epiq will take place in Pamplona, Spain, as part of a joint development and production project involving Volkswagen’s Brand Group Core representatives, including Škoda, Cupra, and Volkswagen.

In terms of design, the Epiq showcases Škoda’s “Modern Solid” design language, featuring a closed-off grille, sleek Y-shaped LED headlights, and DRLs at the front. The rear end also boasts Y-shaped LED taillights, contributing to a clean and modern aesthetic overall.

Inside, the Škoda Epiq offers a spacious and modern cabin, highlighted by a large touchscreen infotainment system, air conditioning vents, climate control buttons, and a phone holder with likely wireless charging capability. The interior exudes a premium feel with aluminum inserts, ambient lighting, and a two-spoke steering wheel complementing the contemporary design.
